“Colin Jenkins played a transformative role in making our wedding reception a unique and memorable event. While we worked together closely to develop ideas for playlists and song selections for key events, it was Colin's skillful improvisation throughout the evening and his deft attention to the diverse musical themes and genres we wanted him to work with that seamlessly tied the entire reception together. The circumstances of our wedding were particularly challenging, too: on the bride's side, dozens of friends and family members of different ages had flown to our event from Turkey, where DJs for wedding receptions are expected to be able to mix Turkish pop, folk, and classical music in concert with a very different series of events than American wedding guests would be accustomed to. Not only did Colin actively research different periods of Turkish music to blend into our playlists and signify specific moments in the reception, but he also actively mixed Turkish and American music throughout the evening to bring as many guests as possible onto the dancefloor.
